Leaving Sara Park and traveling through Parker to Shea Road at Intersection of Highway 72. Run starts on Shea Road and is Approx. 40 miles round trip. We will travel behind the Buckskin Mountains along Shea Road and out to the Black Mesa overlook where we will stop for some picture taking and enjoy the views of Mineral Wash, the Bill Williams River and Bridge, and the MWD pumping plant. The views are out of this world but the trail is rocky with various size black lava rocks. We will also climb some hills that are eroded so be prepared for some bouncing. We will also stop along the Run for a short hike in to see the Bill Williams River up close. Bring your lunch and after the run is over we invite you to join us for a stop at a restaurant in Parker for refreshments. This is a long trip and should take approx. 8.5 hours total time back to Lake Havasu.
