This run skirts the Wabayuma Wilderness in the lower Hualapai Mts. It is a scenic area which contains two spur roads to natural springs. We may cross a stream or two. Visible along the trail are Saguaro cacti, Joshua Trees and a mixture of other Sonoran and Mohave Desert vegetation. The area is named after a famous Hualapai Indian Chief who met his fate in the Kingman area during the Civil War era. The run may include navigating some larger rocks and the trail has been recently cleared to minimize pinstriping.
