Since it is suppose to rain on Fri the conditions will be great for the long trip down Alamo Rd to the Slot Canyon.  Before you get to the canyon you pass an abundant number of Joshua trees, Saguaro cactus and Mohave Yucca’s.  The canyon is spectacular…. sheer cliffs and a narrow trail thru them.  There are also 2  side canyons to walk in with one being very narrow and the other open and then narrows toward the end.  On the return trip, depending on the condition of the trail after the rain, we will come back on Old Alamo Rd.  If you have never been on this run, or even if you have,  the scenery makes this one run you don’t want to miss.
