Run starts on Shea Rd on the other side of Parker.  Will the cross the CAP aqueduct and continue to the turn off and visit the former copper mining town of Swansea.  All the mines are cover with steel grates but there are a lot of signs that give the history of the community and mining info.  The trail goes up in elevation and the landscape becomes more scenic. This part of the run is rated a 3 at the most but we will be taking a trail over to the former pumping station for the town and there is one section that makes it a 3.25.  We will be returning the way we came in instead of the Pipeline rd. This a fairly long run and you are invited to join us for dinner at Sarape’s in Parker.
